Easy to install, nice feel, and protects the iPhone nicely. I only need to see how long this will last with usage. Most other screen protectors get foggy over time and don’t prevent the iPhone from getting scratched—so time will only tell for this one. But right now, I would recommend this product.

I wanted a screen protector that covered my entire iPhone face, not just the screen. This one from AmazonBasics works great. I really like it. The kit comes with three screen protectors, instruction manual, plastic squeegee to remove bubbles upon application, and a cleaning cloth.
I have to acknowledge that the installation process took two tries; but it wasn’t that bad for me. I did as the instruction said and removed tab #1 , then placed the screen protector face down so tab #2 was facing up. Then I squeegeed and removed. But, the whole thing just lifted up on the first try, not sure what happened. So I tried again and it worked! It probably took about 5 minutes.
Once the protector fit it’s gorgeous! I love that it’s kind of thicker than the other ones I’ve had, it feels kind of vinyl. I really feel like my iPhone is protected. My only other concern was slipping my iPhone back in it’s case: AmazonBasics Shell-Case for iPhone 3G, 3GS (Red/Black). Since the screen protector covers the entire face I had to carefully slide the case over the phone for fear I would tear it, but it’s pretty strong, no problem, it gives the case a very snug fit that won’t fall apart.
One small concern is the clarity of the screen. It’s difficult to describe, but it doesn’t have that glass crystal clear look that only a clean screen has. I’ve used other screen protectors that were less thick (more like a thin sticker) and the screen was still very clear. Here you do notice a difference, but it’s really minor and you adjust, so still worth it to me.

I’m afraid I can’t tell you how well this screen protector works, because I found it impossible to install. The backside of the protector (the side that adheres to the iPhone screen) is too sticky, meaning you can’t align it to the screen just right. There are multiple “bubbles” under the surface, and the little squeegee provided isn’t effective enough in removing all of the bubbles. It looks like one of those cheap window-tinting jobs. On top of that, one of the two tab labels that are supposed to be removed wouldn’t come off completely. Of course, you are instructed not to touch the screen protector with your fingers, so if the label can’t be removed, you’re out of luck. I’m sure that *if* you can install this screen protector properly, it would work just fine, but it definitely wasn’t worth the aggravation. Speaking as someone who has had an iPhone screen protector before, I know that there are better products out there that install easily and work well. I recommend passing on this one.

If you are someone who is constantly bothered by the glare on your iPhone screen, this product is for you. I have owned all 4 iPhones, and have put various types of screens on each one until I found what I wanted. I tried:
Clear screen protectors (don’t help much, keys can still scratch them),
Mirror screen protectors (allows you to see yourself in the phone and reduces visibility from the side. You have to put brightness way up and that shortens battery life), and
Anti-glare screen protectors (decreases clarity but eliminates glare).
Of those, my favorite has been the anti-glare. It provides some protection to the screen, but mainly eliminates the glare that can be so annoying in certain places.
The real story here is the installation. How hard is it? What I get bubbles? Can I do it myself or do I need to consult an expert? The answer to all those questions is “I honestly cannot know that with reasonable confidence”. But I will give you my experience. I have purchased a bunch of cheap screen protectors on eBay as well as nicer brand name protectors at the apple store, and they are pretty much all the same. It’s all about the technique. The included instructions do a good job at explaining the easiest way to mount the screen protector. The squeegee tool works well to help keep bubbling to a minimum, and if you are working in a clean environment with clean hands, you can usually peel off a crooked or bubbly protector and re apply. I messed up my first screen protector when a piece of hair or something got on the adhesive side and I couldn’t get it off without messing up the whole thing. So I moved to a cleaner area and the second one went on flawlessly.
This is a good product. I used this on my iPhone 3GS. I wanted to put on on my iPhone 4 but the glass on front is a bit taller and it doesn’t cover the whole screen. I want to give this product 5 stars, but I think 4.5 is more accurate, and it won’t allow me to do half a star so 4 it is. If you have very shaky hands or are just super clumsy, I would recommend you have someone who has installed these before do it for you. I have installed so many now and it gets easier each time. The main problem is to keep away from a dusty area or an area with a lot of pet hair. If you suffer with glare, grab a pack of these. It’s worth a shot, and not too expensive. The screen pretty much eliminates all fingerprints from the screen, which is an added bonus.

We love these! They’re easy to put on with a little care and a credit card – no bubbles here, and it really does help cut down on the glare when outside. I highly recommend that everyone uses these screen protectors for their iphones.
